Our Work, Our Impact

A microlearning designed to reframe productivity within a nonprofit setting by connecting it to mission-driven impact. Through storytelling, reflection, and real-world examples, the training helps staff understand how “productivity with a purpose” supports both client outcomes and staff experience.

  • This training was designed for supervisors and team leads across the organization, who were responsible for communicating new strategic initiatives to their teams. It provided them with both the context and language needed to guide conversations around productivity and organizational change.

  • The rollout of a new strategic initiative focused on productivity and LEAN for healthcare was met with concern from staff, who associated productivity with increased pressure, unrealistic expectations, and reduced autonomy. There was a clear need to reframe the messaging, address misconceptions, and align the initiative with the organization’s mission. This project focused on improving clarity, building trust, and helping staff see how these changes could support their work.

  • I developed this microlearning in Articulate Rise using a collaborative, feedback-driven process that incorporated input from leadership, supervisors, and staff listening sessions. To ensure the content resonated, I focused on grounding abstract concepts in real-world application and staff experience.

The training uses reflection prompts and interactive activities to guide learners through the shift in messaging. A case-based walkthrough demonstrates how the initiative can improve client outcomes, while matching and sorting activities reinforce key concepts and address common misconceptions. Visuals featuring real staff and clients, along with direct connections to everyday tasks, help make the content more relatable and meaningful. Throughout the design, I prioritized clarity, emotional awareness, and practical relevance to support understanding and reduce resistance.

  • The training helped create a more constructive dialogue between supervisors and leadership, supported by feedback collected through an embedded survey. It also provided supervisors with a structured, accessible resource to guide team discussions and reinforce key messaging. By reframing the initiative and addressing concerns directly, the training supported greater alignment and reduced uncertainty around the changes.
