Pharmacy Job Aid Series
A series of one-page job aids designed to clarify pharmacy processes, reduce errors, and support both staff and clients with quick, easy-to-access reference tools. Each resource focuses on a specific task or misconception, making complex information easy to understand and apply in real time.

This series was designed for a wide range of users, including pharmacy staff, providers (nurses, physicians, therapists), and in some cases, clients themselves. Because these audiences vary in experience, access to technology, and regulatory requirements, each job aid needed to be accessible and adaptable across different contexts and service areas.

Through a formal needs assessment, the pharmacy team identified ongoing misconceptions among staff that were leading to errors such as incorrect prior authorizations, missed medications, and delays in service. These issues created frustration for clients and additional workload for pharmacy staff. Given the need for quick, reliable reference materials, and the reality that many clients do not have consistent access to digital tools, we chose to develop printable job aids that could be easily shared, displayed, and referenced during real-time interactions.

I designed each job aid in Canva as a one-page, print-friendly resource focused on a single topic or process. The design emphasizes clarity and usability through chunked information, step-by-step breakdowns, and the use of icons and color to guide attention. Each resource aligns with organizational branding while remaining simple enough to support quick reference during client interactions. The series is intentionally structured to be scalable, with additional job aids in development as new needs are identified.

Early feedback from leadership and pharmacy staff has been overwhelmingly positive, particularly in response to the clarity and usability of the materials. Staff have reported fewer questions related to key processes, more accurate prior authorization requests, and improved communication with clients. The job aids have also helped reduce errors and streamline workflows, while providing a consistent, accessible resource that can be used across teams.
